Coordinated by the University of Ljubljana, the main purpose of this project is to train better readers and to provide students of the humanities with the necessary tools to be successful in all book-related professions - whether as teachers, publishers, translators, editors, etc.

In April 2024 the city of Ljubljana will host the LITPRAX Spring school dedicated to theatre production – and a LITPRAX Symposium with participants from Spain, Hungary, Czech Republic and further partner countries. The Project officially ends on June 2024, but a database with several thousands of bibliographic references will assure its sustainability. Other results which will have a long-term impact will be the Curriculum, which is applied in the three universities, and the Manual on contemporary Spanish and Latin American literature, which will be made available worldwide. The LITPRAX Project would have been unimaginable without the long tradition of collaboration between the professors and researchers of the CEEPUS network “Red de Hispanistas de Europa Central”, that is active since 2010. Not only three of the university partners of the LITPRAX project are part of this network, but also many colleagues from other Spanish departments who have been collaborating for years through the CEEPUS programme were actively involved in the activities of the Litprax project and showed their interest in using the results of this project in their teaching and research activities.

What our scholars have to say
Prof. Jelka Gersak
Professor and network coordinator, Ljubljana
It is important to point out that the activities that have taken place in the framework of student mobility, especially of PhD students, do not end with the end of the mobility, but remain as an important link, in the framework of joint scientific articles and publications in co-authorship.
Iva Vujovic
Exchange student in Vienna
I learned a lot from some professors about topics that aren't really talked about much in my home University. And even when we do mention them, it's more theoretical and harder to understand than it is through practical learning, which we did in Vienna.
Georgi Mladenov
Working on his master thesis in Sorpon (HU)
“My CEEPUS exchange exceeded my expectations. I managed to progress a lot with my thesis and to acquire new skills in the field of mathematics. I made great contacts both with lectures and students. I hope to welcome my colleagues from the University of Sopron in Ruse (BG) next semester.”
